An agreement has been reached for the sale of the Lenawee Country Club and all assets, including the real estate owned by CC Properties, Inc. The goal was to find a purchaser who wanted to continue the golf operation and maintain the course in a superior condition, as well as continuing the use of the club for dining, special occasions and community events. The purchasers, Greg Hodges and David Walters, have indicated a desire to meet these goals and have the track record and experience to do so.
Mr. Hodges is a PGA professional and has extensive experience in golf course operations and maintenance in and around Lenawee County. Mr. Walters is a CPA from Blissfield and has experience as an owner of other golf and dining businesses.
Hodges stated “We are excited to purchase the historic Lenawee Country Club and look forward to continuing and improving upon the membership and public experience the Lenawee community has enjoyed over the past several years.”
Dave Mulligan, President of Lenawee Country Club, and John Gruel, President of CC Properties, Inc, the current owner of the Country Club real estate, have jointly said “ We have given every effort to find a new owner who understands the rich history and local importance of the Lenawee Country Club and look forward to a smooth transition in order to continue the exceptional golf experience, dining and special event opportunities at the club.”
It is expected that the sale will close by the end of this year. Current special events planned for the Country Club will be honored by the new owners.
