Tecumseh, MI – A preliminary investigation revealed to Tecumseh Police that a driver likely suffered a medical emergency, passed away at the wheel of his car, and crashed into a utility pole near Maumee and Kilbuck Streets Monday night.
In a press release by the TPD, they say that when they arrived on the scene at approximately 8:37pm they determined that it was not safe to enter until Consumers Energy turned off the power. Once that happened, first responders could begin the rescue effort.
The vehicle was occupied by a 46-year-old Tecumseh man who was transported to Herrick Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
