Woodstock Twp, Lenawee County- A Napoleon man died in a crash involving a semi tractor Monday morning on US 127 near Addison.
At approximately 11:30am, troopers from the Michigan State Police Monroe Post were dispatched to a pickup truck vs semi tractor trailer injury crash near Mason St. From interviews of one of the involved parties, witnesses and evidence at the scene, the MSP were able to determine that a 2005 Chevrolet pickup was traveling south on US127 when the driver, a 32 year old Napoleon man, crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2019 International semi tractor, driven by a 49 year old male from Pleasant Lake.
The driver of the semi tractor was treated and released at the scene. A passenger in the pickup, a 3 year old male from Hudson was transported to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson for minor non-life threatening injuries. The 32 year old driver of the Chevrolet died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The Michigan State Police were assisted by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Division and the Addison Fire Department.
